Overview of Changes

  • The food chain categories have been realigned to align with the updated guidelines of ISO 22003-1:2022.
  • The scheme has been expanded to include Trading and Brokering (FII) while removing Farming and FSSC 22000-Quality.
  • The integration of food safety and quality culture requirements has been implemented.
  • New requirements for quality control, food loss and waste, and equipment management have been introduced.
  • Existing additional requirements in Part 2 of the scheme have been strengthened, including allergen management and environmental monitoring.
  • The Certification Process has undergone modifications and clarifications to enhance and streamline its requirements.
  • FSSC 22000 certificates now include a QR Code for enhanced traceability purposes

  • The scheme has been updated to incorporate the specific requirements outlined in ISO 22003-1:2022
  • The scheme now has stronger requirements to support organizations in achieving the UN Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs).
  • As part of continuous improvement, the scheme has undergone editorial changes and amendments.
